The ECE R129 i-Size regulation currently represents the most advanced European standard for the approval of children's car seats, designed to ensure even higher levels of safety during car transport. As of September 2024, the ECE R129 regulation has completely replaced the previous ECE R44, introducing stricter test criteria and classifying car seats based on the child's height rather than weight.
